Samir is carrying out his 4th Year Master’s in Biology (MBiol) project in the Poole Lab working with Dr Tim Haskett.
The project aims to engineer a more sensitive rhizopine signalling pathway between transgenic barley (RhiP) and associative Azorhizobium bacteria to boost rhizopine-inducible nitrogen fixation. Away from academia, Samir works on his biological carbon capture startup (CyanoCapture).
